" Jennifer Jonassen gives a theatrically commanding performance!" -Back Stage West (Bury The Dead)

" Jennifer Jonassen’s fabulous portrayal of the practical and highly experienced prostitute, April – a gal who was once the living quintessence of knowing what it was to live in a classy hotel and understands the irony of her plight – who inherently gets the biggest laughs." (Hot L Baltimore)

"...Jennifer Jonassen makes her local debut as the head of that dysfunctional family, and she is absolutely dynamite as the shockingly selfish and verbally abusive mother (Beatrice) who tries to bring Tillie down at every opportunity – her performance so convincing you can feel the audience loathing her with the same passion that she loathes her daughter. But perhaps her best scenes are in the second act when her rough and insensitive exterior is shaken by the ghosts of her unhappy past."

Rob Hopper, San Diego Playbill (Gamma Rays)

"Ion Theatre's Marat Sade received so much talk, that people were being turned away on the night we attended, as they ran out of seats. This was a powerful, sometimes overwhelming production of operatic proportions... Jennifer Jonassen, new to San Diego stages was a powerful Herald. " Jenni Prisk

"Jennifer Jonassen was powerful as the suffering mother." (Six Characters) St Louis Riverfront Times

"For it was  Jennifer Jonassen, Michelle Kovacs, and Lea C. Franklin as the sprites that were the most delightful, and their terrific silent appearances were bettered when they blessed the union of Miranda and Ferdinand, bringing a needed magical quality to the proceedings. Kudos to Judith for including among these excellent women one who was a more Rubensesque sprite than is usually featured." D Mackler Off Broadway Review
